Film openings are the very first moments in a film , in this they introduce the key characters and create the setting and let viewers analyse basic things such as the mood , tone , characters, setting and the era.

Film openings play a huge part in films as it plays a role in human interests psychologically. Film openings attract the viewers , entertains and builds anticipation. Not only that , film openings also give viewers an idea upon the genre of the film. It gives a viewer an idea of what type of emotions , setting , roles does specific characters play. It also starts to slowly establish the plot so it could give the viewers more curiosity and gain their full attention.

While writing a film opening the author has to keep in mind that if they want to attract a big audience they have to make a film opening which is made to catch attention of people with different personalities and diagnosis such as adhd . Not only that but the psychological factor is also important in how to grow anticipation in the viewers.

Directors use a variety of techniques to hook viewers from the very beginning of a film, some of which include high energy actions; starting the film with an exciting or suspenseful scene can quickly grab the audience’s attention and set the pace for the rest of the movie ,intriguing mysteries; feeding unanswered questions can immediately engage the viewer and create curiosity about the storyline and characters ,unique visuals; unusual visual elements can make the film immediately distinctive and memorable ,powerful images; an impactful or emotionally charged image in the opening scene can trigger an immediate emotional response.

Film openings play a crucial role in shaping viewers expectations and influencing their perception of the characters and plot for several reasons ,first impressions ; the opening scene is the viewer’s first exposure to the story, characters, and world being portrayed. It sets the tone and mood, creating a first impression that can greatly impact the viewer’s interpretation and perception of the film ,introduction of characters ;the opening often introduces the main characters and provides early insight into their personalities, motivations, and relationships. This makes the viewer judge the characters and the scenario in their own perspective.
